Vicent Domingo
Director of the Valencia World Centre for Sustainable Urban Food-CEMAS
He holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Diploma in Language Theory from the University of Valencia. He has also studied audiovisual communication at the New York Film Academy, at the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, at the Menéndez Pelayo International University and at the Official Institute of Spanish Radio and Television. He has worked for Televisión Española and the Valencian regional television station Canal Nou RTVV between 1989 and 2013.
Author of numerous documentaries on Human Rights, Environment, Development Cooperation and Disability (1990-2015). Speaker at various meetings and conferences, he has been a guest lecturer at the Master's Degree in Social Economy at the University of Valencia and speaker at two meetings on social innovation organised by the Mexican government.
Creator and director of the NGO Humania, which will set up a technological platform with more than 65,000 news items and documents from civil society in more than 25 countries. News directly published by Civil Society entities on Human Rights, Environment, Disability, Gender, Sustainable Development, Fair Trade, etc.
In 2016, Valencia City Council appointed him as Commissioner for the World Food Capital and organised the Summit of Cities signatories of the Milan Pact in Valencia. Since its creation in April 2019, he has been leading the Valencia World Centre for Sustainable Urban Food-CEMAS.
